About Me
I am Enrique Ortega, and I am from Phoenix, Arizona. I have a bachelor's degree in multimedia journalism and a minor in Spanish from Loyola University Chicago. I am attending Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication to get my master's in sports journalism.
I have written stories on a range of topics. For example, I wrote articles in the social justice magazine, Mosaic, with the theme of art during the COVID-19 pandemic. More recently I've been covering the Central High School volleyball team in Phoenix for AZPreps365. I also work with a team across the world to run a Twitter/X account called ForzaJuve that has over 100,000 followers along with the ForzaJuve website. I have written articles ranging from transfer market news to team-related news and I currently do gameday commentary for each matchday on Twitter/X.
I am eager to contribute to a professional sports team or organization in the broadcast and production space. With a deep passion for sports analysis and storytelling, I am driven to highlight unheard voices and authentically represent the narratives that make sports so compelling. I bring proven leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to excel in fast-paced environments, all of which I am excited to leverage in the sports media industry.
